In the final hours of 2018, let's look back on the best year ever for Marvel Studios. Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War dominated the box office and the pop culture landscape. The Disney-Fox deal was threatened but prevailed and the Marvel/Netflix partnership deteriorated, all while Marvel Studios released its 20th movie (Ant-Man and the Wasp), celebrated its 10-year anniversary, and earned $4B at the global box office. Sadly, 2018 was also the year we said "So long and Excelsior" to the legendary Stan Lee.

We discuss why all of this is happening and what's next. In better news, we could see a Scarlet Witch and Vision series on Disney+ in 2019!

Stan Lee was an immeasurable source of joy and inspiration to so many all around the world. As we mourn his passing, we celebrate the legacy of "The Man" who played such a pivotal role in shaping the True Believers we are today. He was a prolific creator who gave us the Marvel Age of Comics without which there would be no Marvel Cinematic Universe. He may be gone from this Earth, but the legend of Stan Lee will live on, reminding generations to come that with great power there must also come great responsibility!
